The PlayGround

 A 7500 sq ft, indoor, turf agility and dog sports facility!  Fully equip with brand new Galican Agility Equipment!

*Private rentals are for experienced dogs and handlers only. The Playground is for agility practise only. Not to be used as an off leash park.  Rules will be strictly enforced. Renters caught not following the rules will be prohibited from future use*

Please abide by the facility rules while at the facility and on the grounds.  It is for the safety of all dogs attending the facility and to maintain a clean place for everyone to train and play.

•  The Playground is not an off leash park. Participants agree  to use the facility for agility and dog sports purposes only. No off leash “free playtime” is allowed.  
• Dogs must be be at an agility level 3 skill level or above to attend private rentals. Beginner dogs can attend the Drop In practise time at Hyper Hounds in Calgary.
• Do not allow dogs to pee/mark inside on the turf , inside or on the equipment. Take your dog out for frequent outdoor potty breaks.  There will be a $30 "peenalty" fee for a dog that pees or poops on the turf.  The turf is not porous and we do not want a smelly facility.  If your dog pees or poops in the facility immediately clean the mess with the green machine and then spray with EZ clean.  Males that are tempted to mark may be required to wear a belly band. "Peenalty" fees can be sent to hyperhoundstraining@gmail.com and are due immediately. 
• Dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the grounds, parking area and roadways.
• Please do not let your dog pee/poop on the building walls outside, garbage can outside or anything a human must touch.
• Dogs must be kennelled or contained between turns.  Please wipe out the kennel with clothes provided at the end of your class/rental
• Clean indoor shoes only allowed in the building
• Please have all handlers sign the "sign in sheet" on the shelf with every rental
• Bitches in season must wear pants while in the facility and on the equipment
• If you move equipment, please put it back at the end of your rental/class
• Please clean up after yourself. Throw all garbage away, replace chairs, etc
• Do not allow your dog to excessively bark while kennelled in your vehicle or inside the building 
• Renters do not have permission to adjust the temperature or touch the thermostat.
• Remember to turn all lights and fans off when you leave. 
• A $30 fee will be charged to any renters that adjust the temperature without permissions, leave lights on, spill beverages on the turf or leave the facility a mess.

Tips to prevent ripped pads on turf

• Keep nails a little longer than you would normally
• Make sure your dog has dry feet when running on the turf. Soft, wet pads can rip with to much exertion on turf. Dry your dog's foot pads with a cloth or towel before running.
• Avoid excessive/overtraining.  Give your dog lots of breaks between reps.
    

Hourly private rentals for personal training and rentals for workshops/seminars/trials.

Personal Training/Non Commercial Training with a group of friends.  Renters must have previous agility experience to rent the space. Rentals for agility use only, not to be used as an off leash play park.

• Package of 5, 1 hour rentals, 1-2 people: $250+tax. Works out to $50+tax an hour
• 3+ People, 1 Hour Private rental: $70+tax
• Package of 5, 1 Hour rentals 3+ people: $325+tax. Works out to $65+tax an hour

Refund Policy

• private 1 hour rentals can be rebooked or refunded up to 72 hours before the appointment. After the 72 hour window has passed, bookings are non refundable, non transferable and there will be no credits given
• Commercial rentals can be rebooked or refunded up to 1 week (7 days) prior to the booking. Once the 1 week window has passed, bookings are non refundable, non transferable and there will be no credits given.

Our popular Masters coursework classes in a larger space!  Courses will be at the Masters/Challenge level.  Courses will include multiple technical handling/skills from the level 4 curriculum, challenging weave entries, layering etc.  Dogs should be proficient at the Advanced coursework level to attend the Masters/Challenge  class.

Teach and proof your dog's agility skills on basic drills with skills that include serpentines, tunnel turns, soft turns/tight turns, jump backsides, start lines/forward focus, discriminations etc.  Jumps and tunnels only will be used.

This class is appropriate for dogs that are just starting sequencing, including younger dogs, or for teams wanting to proof specific skills in short sequences.

Test and proof your dog's agility skills on more advanced sequences!  We will focus on building more speed and independence on the skills taught in level 1.

Dogs in this class should have completed the Skills & Drills class or be approved by the instructor.

Practise your gamble skills on a full AAC style gamble course. Fun match style to practise your timing and strategy for the opening and closing sequences.  Feedback will be given for handling, strategy etc.

Improve your weave skills with these weave proofing sessions.  Handlers and dogs will work on training and proofing difficult entries and exits, crosses before and after weaves, layering weaves, sequencing into the poles and more. Dogs must be weaving 12 poles to attend.

Payment is due at the time of registration via paypal, e transfer or payment in person with cash, debit or credit. Registrations will not be accepted if payment is not received within 24 hours of enrolment in a course. All classes are six weeks long unless otherwise stated in the description. Each class runs for approximately an hour each week 

Classes are fully refundable up to 5 days before the first class begins. After the 5 day prior class starting  window has passed and once classes are in progress the classes are non refundable, non transferable, and there are no make up classes.  Our refund policy also includes those that have to miss class due to COVID, injuries, health reasons, change in work schedule, etc.  

Group classes are not appropriate for dogs with reactivity/aggression issues or other severe behaviour problems. If you have concerns regarding your dog's behaviour please contact us before registering for a class. Classes are non refundable and non transferable up to five days before your class starts and once it is in session. 

You are encouraged to come out and watch a class before registering in a program.
