Welcome to Hyper Hounds Dog Training!


We are thrilled you have landed on our page!!! We are very excited to share our passion for dogs and dog sports with you and your canine companion!


We are a positive dog training school offering classes in puppy kindergarten, pet manners, agility, rally obedience, scent detection, flyball, barn hunt program, disc dog and more. We also have a number of mini workshops and weekend seminars hosted at our facility. With our wide variety of classes and workshops we have a program for every dog!


Our facility offers over 5400 sq feet of play space in the agility room. Complete with foam agility flooring for superior traction and comfort. The Agility room is outfitted with a full set of competition quality agility equipment.

Our 1600 sq ft obedience room offers plenty of room for puppy classes, pet manners classes and sport classes.


Our team of instructors are chosen for their vast knowledge, experience and accomplishments in dog training and their field of dog sports.  Our instructors are judges, seasoned competitors, international competitors and world team members and top winning trainers.  They will help you bring out the best in your dog and accomplish all your training and competitive goals.

Follow 11 St SE past the Leons and Trail Appliances store. Head under Glenmore bridge and it's the first building on the left hand side.

Payments

Payment is due at the time of registration via paypal, e transfer or payment in person with debit or credit. Registrations will not be accepted if payment is not received within 24 hours of enrolment in a course. All classes are six weeks long unless otherwise stated in the description. Each class runs for approximately an hour each week

Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Hyper Hounds Dog Training, we carefully plan our classes to ensure the best experience for all participants. Please review our policy before registering:


  • No refunds will be issued after registration — sorry no exceptions.
  • Account Credits or class transfers are permitted up to 7 days prior to the class start date.
  • Account credits are valid for one (1) year from the original registration date.
  • Cancellation/withdrawal from a class within 7 days of the class start date or once the class has commenced, there will be no credits or class transfers permitted.

By registering for a class, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Group Classes

Group classes are not appropriate for dogs with reactivity/aggression issues or other severe behaviour problems. If you have concerns regarding your dog's behaviour please contact us before registering for a class. Classes are non refundable and non transferable up to five days before your class starts and once it is in session. 

You are encouraged to come out and watch a class before registering in a program.

Meet the Owner

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday Daytime Agility Instructor

 

Kim Boyes has been teaching group and private lessons for over 25 years. Her methods are based on proven positive training techniques by the world's top trainers and behaviourists. Kim strongly believes in continuing education and has attended seminars and clinics from some of the best in the training industry. Kim attends a minimum of three seminars a year to keep her skills current and provide the most up to date methods for her students. She has had the privilege of learning from many talented trainers such as Justine Davenport, Jessica Patterson, Wendy Willemse, Aaron Froude, Thomas Traj, Enya Habel, Dave Munnings, Ian Dunbar, Marcy Mantell, Pat Miller, Janice Gunn, Sue Ailsby, Sarah Stremming and many more.


Kim was a CARO rally obedience judge and CWAGS scent detection judge for 10 years, and is currently a CGN evaluator. Kim's dogs have earned over 200 titles in six different sports and have been ranked in the top ten multiple times on the regional and national level. Kim has also had the privilege of representing Canada five times at international Agility events.


Kim started in dog sports with an American Eskimo and a Labrador Retriever. She now competes with Shetland Sheepdogs, a Border Collie and a working English Cocker Spaniel.

  • Winner of Bronze overall and Gold for large team at 2024 IFCS World Agility Championships 
  • 2024 3rd place in the 24" division at the UKI Canadian Open
  • 2014, 2018, 2019 CKC FCI Agility World Team Member (a small and medium dog for 2018 & 2019)
  • 2023 FCI Reserve Agility World Team Member (small)
  • 2022 CKC Agility European Open team member (small)
  • Winner of the small and medium division at the 2019 AWC/EO Try Outs
  • Highest scoring overall dog of 2019 AAC Agility Regional Championships
  • 4 time AAC National Agility Champion (2023, 2017, 2015, 2010)
  • 6 time AAC Regional Agility Champion (2024, 2019, 2018, 2017 Alberta, 2016 BC , 2012 Alberta)
  • CKC Top Dog award for a Multi Discipline dog for 2018
  • Ranked in the top ten agility dogs in Canada for CKC from 2011-2016, 2018, 2023
  • Achieved Agility Championship titles in CKC, AAC and UKI on multiple dogs 
  • Achieved Rally Obedience Championship and Master Obedience Championship in CKC
  • 2008 #1 APDT Rally Obedience Dog in Canada
  • Perfect score of 200 in formal obedience
  • Multiple High in Trial wins in formal obedience
  • DogSafe Canine First aid course
